ABOUT ME
Bonjour my bookish friends. The kinda boring person who is in charge of this blog usually answers to the name of Phoebe but never Pheebs or Pheebo. She despises both nicks of her name. If you are trolling the app named Instagram, she'll reply to anyone when they go to her account, @bookthesimple and she loves it when people check her stories out on Wattpad, her name there is Glafro (a combination of her glasses and reasonably impressive halfro, or half afro).
The main reason said, boring girl, decided to start a bookish blog, is because she is entirely obsessed with anything books. Her whole world revolves around books and countless family members, friends and acquaintances have commented on her excessive book buying sprees and the fact that she spends wholly too much money on books. She believes that to get away from the negativity that surrounds her, she ought to find new friends who are equally obsessed with books. I personally think this is a great idea! Just saying!
Now, a few more things about our dearest little Phoebe (or should I say tall Phoebe. She's taller than a lot of people she knows. Five foot seven and a half inches to be exact). At the age of fourteen and (nearly) a half, this strange child has read more books than she can remember, has grown taller than anyone thought possible and splashed her cash on more books, clothes and jewellery than she has the money for. There is an incredibly high chance that she will be in terrible debt when she has to pay for things herself. A shame really.
As well as being the type of person who thinks money grows on trees, Phoebe is as wacky as my great aunt's brother's dog's sister's son's owner's second cousin twice removed's wife's twin sister's grandchild's uncle's wife's great grandma who once broke into the Taj Mahal after closing hours because she really needed the toilet and couldn't find anywhere else to go. So yeah. She also believes that Crumple-Horned Snorkacks exist.
Maybe a little more about the blog would be in order. The owner of this here blog has decided that the majority of posts will be book reviews written honestly by her, helpful tips to write/read/live better, and some random thoughts that she deems sane enough to share with the world. These not-so-boring posts will come whenever Phoebe finds enough energy to make them and whenever she actually remembers that she owns a blog. She procrastinates quite a moderate amount so there's not always a guarantee that she'll ever get round to it. Hopefully I, her trusty (or maybe not so trusty) conscience, can convince her that writing blog posts is much more important than doing homework or chores. Hmmm, maybe this won't be as hard as I thought.
